Turkmen gas pipeline : India and Pakistan
on the verge of an agreement
India and Pakistan are moving closer to an agreement concerning a pipeline project to import Turkmen gas through Afghanistan.
The visit of Afghan President Hamid Karzai to Turkmenistan was a key point for the projet and they both came to an agreement : the 1735 kilometer TAPI (Turkmen-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) pipeline will bring more than 30 billion cubic meters from Turkmenistan to Fazika, India.
